Kevin Webb’s first and continued passion is Aviation. Initially pursuing a career as a professional fixedwing pilot at age 19, and a commercial helicopter pilot shortly after. Funding his aviation and post-secondary education working In the heavy construction industry. As a young superintendent he gained invaluable experience running large highway, bridge and mountain construction projects exceeding $10m. With this background and a strong aptitude for problem solving, Kevin parlayed these abilities into founding North Construction in 1994.

Construction highlight (one of many) was the 2010 Olympics. North was retained from the very start of the pre-bid process, by the Vancouver Organizing Committee, to provided budgetary and design options, that were incorporated into the final bid package as submitted to the IOC, ultimately making Vancouver the winning Bid City. With Olympic revenues exceeding 30 million dollars, Kevin takes pride in the fact that the entire North team were critical to the success of the 21st Winter Olympics.

Kevin continues to push himself and the company to ensure that the North “Brand” is the most trusted, creative and effective solutions provider for challenging heavy civil construction in North America.

Joel has over 20 years of professional experience in the heavy civil construction industry. He joined the North Construction team in 2008 where his passion for the outdoors and uncompromising drive for building detailed and challenging projects has made him a great fit with North’s ever-growing team of professionals. With a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia and also a graduate of Capilano University’s Outdoor Recreation Management and Wilderness Leadership programs, Joel brings a wide variety of skills and expertise to an increasingly technical industry while upholding North’s philosophy of ensuring the lowest possible environmental footprint in their operations. His goal is to ensure all projects are completed on time and to exceed every client’s expectations by ensuring they receive the highest level of attention to detail, safety and quality possible on their projects.

Maureen joined the North team in 2015 bringing over 35 years of financial management experience to the group.  She gained significant management experience in her previous role as Financial Controller for Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver.  During that period, she worked with many of the North team in their development work on the mountain including during the 2010 Winter Olympics events held at Cypress Mountain.  Maureen adds a solid financial and management perspective and discipline to the North team.

Maureen has been active in industry organizations including acting as Director and BC Zone Chair for the Canada West Ski Areas Association, previous Director of the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, and volunteer work for both the Canadian Cancer Society and Certified Management Accountants of BC.
